Ahead of its panel at 2022 San Diego Comic-Con, HBO released a new trailer for its Game of Thrones prequel series – House of the Dragon. The new trailer gives fans the best look yet at the series which is based on George R.R. Martin’s Fire & Blood series. Set hundreds of years before the events of Game of Thrones, and it tells the story of House Targaryen aka the ancestors of The Mother of Dragons, Daenerys Targaryn, played by Emilia Clarke in the original series.
The new show chronicles the civil war that ripped apart Westeros centuries before the events in the original series and stars Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Paddy Considine.
House of the Dragon premieres on HBO and HBOMax in August of 2022. Until then check out the latest trailer here.
