Marvel and Disney+ dropped a late night snack for fans in the form of the first trailer for WandaVision. The series follows the relationship of Avengers Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlett Witch and Vision. Marvel and Disney also released an official synopsis:
Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, WandaVision marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision-two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives-begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
Ambiguous for sure. Yet, a look at the trailer shows a mashup of genres, tapping into vintage 50’s and 60’s sitcoms all the way up to some great over the top neon infused 80’s fare. For those fans of the comics, we also get a look at the pair in their classic costumes. Should be interesting to see how the show plays out. WandaVision premieres before the end of the year.
