2015 saw Victoria’s Secret welcome a new model to the family when they named Daniela Lopez as the new face of their Pink line. Yet this angel, has something a little different than the rest. The colombiana stands out not just for the sultry brown locks, mesmerizing green eyes and dimpled smile, but for going against the stick figure, waif thin archetype which dominates runway fashion. She arrived on the scene in 2014 after walking the runway of the Lolli Swim Miami. The appearance went viral and spawned thousands of GIF’s, YouTube views and created a social media profile that could not be ignored – and was not (to see the video just click above, you won’t regret it). 2015 saw high fashion take notice, as magazines such as Vogue and Elle placed her on their covers, with laddie mags such as Maxim and Sports Illustrated following suit. Yet, while her modeling career is still blossoming, you can tell there is a forward thinking mentality present that will serve her well, as she told the New York Post “I’m not just a butt! I have more to offer,” she says. “The body parts, they get ugly [with age]. The personality doesn’t change.” Yes, we can definitely get behind that! No pun intended.
