Demi Lovato
'LLERO Editors
No longer the cohort of a purple dinosaur or a Disney darling, Demi Lovato cemented her grown up status in 2013. After taking time from the spotlight to deal with substance abuse and emotional issues in 2011, she came back stronger and more kick ass than ever before.
The stunning half Mexican singer and actress started the year with the release of her self-titled album which spawned the hits “Heart Attack” and “Neon Lights” and has been her best selling album to date. She won audiences over as a judge on TV talent show “The X Factor” and released a New York Times best selling book, “Staying Strong: 365 Days a Year.” Oh, she also toured the world in support of her album and donated her time to children’s and environmental causes.
In 2014 she might just top her own success. A new album, another tour and a personal memoir are all slated for the year. Her strength and beauty are simply undeniable, not to mention inspiring.
