Anitta is looking to close out the summer in a big way. A new album, new singles and videos and debut performance at the 2022 VMA’s. First up, the tracks! Last week she released a single and video for the long teased collaboration with hip hop-icon Missy Elliot.
The track is entitled “Lobby” and has a R&B and hip-hop fusion feel to it. It also finds our Brazilian chantress singing in English with Elliot providing the rhymes. The video is directed by Arrad and has a 90’s throwback feel, as the color selection and famous Hype Williams fish-eye lens is used on various close ups of Missy Elliot and Anitta.
“Lobby” dropped last week quickly after another Anitta collab, “El Que Espera,” in which Maluma aptly assists. Both tracks are set to appear on Anitta’s Versions of Me Deluxe album set to drop on for Aug. 25th.
If that were not enough, Anitta is also set to make her MTV VMAs debut at the 2022 ceremony on Aug. 28th, performing her hit single “Envolver.” Until then peep the Missy Elliot track here.
