We’ve always known that Latinas were outlandishly sexy, but this year Playboy cosigned when they chose Raquel Pomplun, a 25-year-old Mexican American beauty, as its 2013 Playmate of the Year. She made history for being the magazine’s first Latina to win the title as well as breaking Playboy’s “buxom-blonde” mold.

Before becoming a pinup that every man could drool over, Pomplun was a model and classically trained ballet dancer. The San Diego raised senorita has spent the year appearing on all things Playboy, from radio shows like “Mansion Mayhem” and “Playmates Present” to being part of the brand’s dance squad and shooting her own pinup calendar. She’s also a “Fight Jock” for Black Belt TV where she announces MMA fights and movies. She’s already begun transitioning into the acting industry with appearances in several films.

We’re sure 2014 will be even bigger than 2013 was. Word.
