This Thursday, ground zero for all things geek chic will be in San Diego Comic-Con International 2019.  The mother of all comic-cons!!! Thousands will descend upon San Diego Comic-Con to check out the latest offerings in comics, film, television, cosplay and more.

Unlike 2018 juggernauts such as Marvel/Disney and HBO will be in Hall H and they are bringing big announcements with them.  Here’s what to look forward to this year.

La Borinqueña Creator to Receive Humanitarian Award

In 2018 Edgardo Miranda-Rodriguez, creator of La Borinqueña, independently published the benefit anthology Ricanstruction: Reminiscing & Rebuilding Puerto Rico. The anthology was special, not just because it features DC Comics characters teaming up with La Borinqueña as a response to Hurricane Maria. It went beyond the pulp into the real world. Ricanstruction has raised over $200,000 for the La Borinqueña Grants Program, awarding grants last fall to local grassroots organizations in Puerto Rico. For such super heroic efforts Miranda will be honored with the Bob Clampett Humanitarian Award.

The first look at Terminator: Dark Fate dropped a few months ago. As well know this isn’t your regular Terminator sequel. James Cameron and Sarah Connor herself – Linda Hamilton are back in the fold. Although the show made its series finale earlier in the year. The band is getting back together. At least for the weekend.
