Today marks the one-year anniversary of the untimely passing of Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna, John Altobelli, wife Keri and daughter Alyssa, Sarah Chester, daughter Payton Chester, Christina Mauser and Ara Zobayan. All victims lost in a helicopter crash on January 26, 2020 in Calabasas, California.
Given the events of 2020 for some the event may seem like years ago, for others like only yesterday. 2020 had a way of doing that to time. Yet, despite this, one thing remains constant. The world of sports and the world at large continue to recognize, appreciate and honor the legacy of Kobe Bryant.
Aside from the championships, awards and accolades, a large part of Bryant’s legacy was his unparalleled commitment to excellence in every endeavor he embarked upon.
From winning championship rings to Oscars, to being the best “girl-dad” he could be. They are just a part of what made him transcend sport.
