Not a typical Disney darling or girl group castoff, Becky G. is actually the epitome of a millennial “do it yourself” artist. The Mexican American rapper, singer, songwriter and actress (yes you read that right) has been making music since she was a just a tween and came to fame for uploading her own covers of track’s like Kanye’s “Otis” with her own rhymes. She caught the attention of super producers like Dr. Luke and has gone on to work with the likes of will.i.am and Pitbull. Although her first official album was released just a year ago, singles from her EP have made the Billboard charts. But her work ethic doesn’t stop there. She’s already embarked on a world tour with fellow up and comer J. Balvin and rubbed shoulders with the Estefan’s thanks to her work on the Latinos Unidos song, “We Are Mexico.” So what’s next for the teen with no limits? She’s taking on more acting gigs, having already appeared on Fox TV hit Empire and next up is a role in The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. With that kind of success there seem to limit to what she’ll accomplish next.
