After teasing viewers for months with teaser trailers. On Monday Netflix dropped a full trailer for Selena: The Series. The latest telling of the Tejano music singer, stars actress Christian Serratos (“The Walking Dead“) as the icon.
From what can be gleaned from the trailer, the series will hit upon the notable points in Selena’s career. From entering and conquering the male dominated world of Tejano music, to meeting her husband as well as the highs and lows that come with stardom. Netflix also released an official summary:
Before she became the Queen of Tejano Music, Selena Quintanilla was a young girl from Texas with big dreams and an even bigger voice. Selena: The Series explores her journey from singing small gigs to becoming the most successful female Latin artist of all time — and the years of hard work and sacrifice the Quintanilla family navigated together.
