Apple TV+ dropped a new full trailer for the Beastie Boys documentary simply called Beastie Boys Story. While the title is straight forward the documentary is not. Billed as a live documentary experience. From the looks of the trailer it appears the surviving members, Mike Diamond and Adam Horovitz appear on stage to explain clips, provide backstory and answer questions.
The documentary will focus on “the history and legacy of the group” while chronicling 40 years of music and friendship, serving in part as a tribute to late founding member Adam Youch. For fans of old school hip hop, when shell top Adidas, boom box radios and gold chains ruled the scene this has to be a treat. Beastie Boys Story premieres on April 24th.
