Nike is honoring Latino Heritage month, in the form of The Air Max 90 LHM.
According to Nike, the theme for this years shoe is family. The shoe focuses on the importance of the family unit in Latino culture. Celebrating the power of community through heritage silhouettes.
This is illustrated through the technicolor print featured on the shoe’s upper. An ode to the expressive, family-oriented bond shared across Latino culture.
In the more literal sense, the word Familia is also printed on the sock liner and across the lateral side of the shoe. Replacing the iconic Air Max branding that typically appears on the sneaker’s lateral side logo.
As a further nod to the inclusivity of family. The shoe is available in full family sizing.
This isn’t the first time Nike has repped Latino culture. Just last month, Nike released the Lucha Libre collection in honor of some of the most iconic luchadores. They also dropped Los Primeros collection a few years back in honor of Latino Heritage Month.
The Air Max 90 LHM dropped on September 29th. It is now available on nike.com and at select retailers.
