Mens Health

They say the best things in life are free, but making sure you stick around long enough to enjoy them is pretty important too. Let’s face it, as men we have no problem catching a game of pick-up ball, trying the latest work out craze or looking for the super pill we think will turn us into a Greek god. Yet, more often than not we ignore the signs of illness, fail to get that annual physical or simply over-indulge in the finer things in life – yeah we’re talking to you beer and wings.

That’s why we at ‘LLERO are celebrating National Men’s Health Month and its signature event National Men’s Health Week, (we told you we’re more than babes, beer and gadgets). It is celebrated annually the entire week before Father’s Day. Held to draw attention to the importance of men’s health, and “heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys,” according to the Men’s Health Network.

This year, aside from spreading the word and supporting the cause, we decided get a little more involved and put our own unique spin on the occasion. During our time on the net ‘LLERO’s near and far have contributed their stories and in honor of Men’s Health Week will take a look back and share a few – and hope that you do too!

From the formation of an exercise club you probably have never seen before, to a kick-ass workout available at every local park, to a few ‘LLERO’s who faced and overcame life altering health issues – stop by every day this week, for new ideas, information and stories from your compadres that will help you live long and strong.

Salud,
‘LLERO
