Karol G leads the charge on new music Friday. The Colombian reggaeton artist dropped her sophomore album simply entitle “Ocean”. During Latin Billboard music week she told Billboard.com the album has many autobiographical moments over the past two years including her budding romance with Anuel AA.
The album has 16 tracks and features collaborations with her beau Anuel AA, Simone & Nicky Jam, Maluma, Yandel and J Balvin.
“Basically, when you listen to my album, you won’t hear Karol G. You’ll [hear] Carolina, the person,” Karol G told Billboard.com. In addition to the album she dropped a new video for the title track. Directed by Ms. G herself, the video is a nice contrast to the highly produced, slick images of cars, champagne bottles and explosions we’ve come to expect from music videos.
