Today J Balvin dropped the sixth video for his album Colores. The track is entitled “Verde”. The song gets an assist from Sky Rompiendo. It has nice melody, the lyrics are about a girl who is the focus of attention for all.
The video, directed by Collin Tilley shows Balvin dressed like and shrinking to the size of leprechaun at a backyard house party. He bounces to the beat and rips lyrics with grasshoppers navigating blades of grass, a bbq grill and picnic table. The visuals are unlike anything you’v ever seen in a reggaetón video. “The goal was to create different content that would really stand out and that the reggaetón world hadn’t really seen before,” Tilley told Billboard.
Yet, another demonstration of how artists like Balvin, Bad Bunny and Residente continue to evolve the genre. Peep the visuals for “Verde” here.
