In 2000 a low-budget, indie film named Girlfight was released. It was the indie-darling of the year racking up a number of awards. The best part? It introduced the world to the Puerto Rican- Dominican actress Michelle Rodriguez. Her performance as Diana Guzman, a troubled teen who channels her aggression by training to become a boxer, marked the beginning of a career that would spawn numerous hits, some scrapes with the law, but best of all another sexy Latina to admire.

Her resume reads like a Netflix queue for action junkies: The Fast & the Furious, Avatar, Lost, Battle: Los Angeles being just a few of her hits. This year was no different as she appeared in the animated film Turbo and reprised her role as Letty Ortiz in Fast & Furious 6. With her films grossing over $5 billion collectively, Entertainment Weekly has dubbed Rodriguez as “Hollywood’s most successful Latina actress.”

Besides bringing serious bank throughout the years, the sexiness factor has only risen. In 2015 she’s slated to appear in Fast & Furious 7 and we are just happy to watch the ride.
