Stephanie Sigman
While she captured the attention of Latin America as a reluctant beauty queen in the film Miss Bala, Americanos are just learning who the leggy, doe-eyed Stephanie Sigman is this year. Thanks to her role as Estrella (appropriate right?) in the 007 film Spectre, she is breaking necks. While the role is a small one people can’t take their eyes off of the former model. Which is a good thing because she’s continued her Hollywood trajectory co-starring in the latest binge worthy Netflix produced show Narcos. Playing another femme fatale Valeria Velez, a TV journalist, Pablo Escobar mistress and woman not to be messed with. The Mexican-American actress has been in the biz for nearly 10 years with telenovelas and small indie films under her belt (this was also after a successful modeling career in her native Mexico). What comes next for Sigman is anyone’s guess. The baseball loving former gymnast (thank papi Lee Sigman, NY Yankees scout for that) is ready for anything, except losing herself. “The only thing I am really afraid of in this industry is to become something I’m not,” she has said.
