Towns Organize Assemblies

In towns throughout the island citizens have begun organizing themselves to discuss Puerto Rico’s future. Meeting in local plazas, the peoples assemblies, are giving people the chance to share their opinions and emotions about what they want to see happen in their towns and in their government. 

Protesters Plan More Demonstrations

La Colective Feminista en Construccion, a feminist group that was part of the daily protests that led to Rossello’s resignation, are calling for a state of emergency to force the government to address gender violence that has plaguing the island and its news cycle for months. They are set to meet with Vasquez to address their demands. They have promised more demonstrations if their demands are not met.
