Artist and educator Michael Cordero has been living and working in Puerto Rico for the last year or so. A Brooklyn raised Puerto Rican, he decided to uproot his life and return to his ancestral land of Puerto Rico. These images are a chronicle of what he has encountered since Hurricane Maria changed the island. It is a collection of people, places and every happenings.

About The Author

As a transmedia storyteller and creative agitator, Mikey Cordero gets to the heart of the matter by chronicling the narratives of struggle and triumph through a variety of formats and platforms. As Co-creator on the Defend Puerto Rico Transmedia Project, Mikey narrates the story of Puerto Rican resilience and resistance through a multimedia movement sparking action and awareness. He’s developed and coordinated several youth media programs and has also launched and co-founded several successful arts, community and media, based businesses.
