The Nike Air Force 1 has crossed more than the boundary of court to street in the 35 plus years since its launch.
No one realizes this more than Nike. The most important thing to the success of the Air-Force 1 has been the communities and people who have adopted the sneaker and made it an icon, whether artist, ballplayer, chef, designer or you-name-it, prize the Air Force 1. In recognition of this, Nike has released its latest iterations of the AF1 — seen in the Utility Pack and NBA Pack. Check out the new styles and colorways here.
Utility Pack
What makes the Air Force 1 Utility different from its predecessors? This go around Nike replaces the shoe’s traditional lacing structure with a midfoot strap. Equipped with a Fidlock magnetic buckle, the AF1 Utility’s frictionless entry system is complemented by a pull tab at the heel and extended tongue, while retaining the shoe’s fundamental hard-wearing qualities.
The Nike Air Force 1 Utility launches on November 1 globally and November 29 in North America on nike.com.
NBA Pack
Just in time for the upcoming NBA season. The jersey-like trim and team color schemes of the NBA Pack revive the Air Force 1’s indelible link to professional basketball. This is also seen in the use of lenticular color shifting material for the Swoosh and backtab, where the AF1 logo shifts to the NBA logo in motion.
Styles in the NBA Pack release October 4 on nike.com and at select retailers.
