Dave Chappelle is not known for holding his tongue. His new Netflix special, “8:46,” is no exception. But instead of commentary wrapped in comedy, he offered more insight than jokes. Raw, uncut and full of emotion, Chappelle titled the special ‘8:46’ as a statement. It is the length of time Derek Chauvin’s knee was on George Floyd’s neck before he died in Minneapolis on May 25.
Netflix premiered the special for free on their YouTube channel for the world to watch, listen and learn from.
In it he addresses everything from George Floyd’s death, police brutality, Candace Owens (a conservative black commentator), and even rapper Azeelia Banks’ who alleges she slept with Chappelle. Watch the full special here.
