Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is perhaps one of the most anticipated movies coming out of the MCU this year. Most notably due to the tragic loss of it’s star Chadwick Boseman who played the titular hero. How would the sequel address the character moving forward? Hollywood magic? An authentic approach with art imitating life? If so, who would pick up the mantle? A teaser of Wakanda Forever was released a few months ago, but was cryptic in answering these questions. Today Marvel released a full trailer for Wakanda Forever and we have more answers.
The new trailer clearly answers the question that T’Challa has died. Which creates new conflict for Wakanda as it appears other worlds are aware of this loss and see the country as ripe for invasion. Namely, Namor, the Submariner played by Tenoch Huerta. From the looks of the trailer the two worlds will be at war. The trailer provides great looks at Namor, RiRi Williams transformation into Iron Heart and wonderful visuals. It appears director Ryan Coogler has done it again in creating, not one but two worlds that are visually stunning. But above all, fans get a first full look at the new Black Panther. Who’s under the mask is yet to be confirmed, but smart money is on Letitia Wright’s character Shuri.
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever opens November 11, 2022. Until then, check out the new trailer here.
