It was a dog fight in the desert last night. With Errol Spence Jr. winning a split decision over Shawn Porter. Porter was relentless through 12 rounds, often smothering Spence Jr. and not allowing him enough distance to get off shots. However, Spence Jr. to his credit, gave as good as he got. They key here seemed to be Round 11, in which Spence Jr. knocked Porter down. In an already close fight it seemed to be the difference maker. What’s next? A rematch would be warranted.
