The Apple Watch Nike+ which dropped last week, among other things features built-in GPS to track pace, distance and route, so users can run without an iPhone. The display is, according to Apple, the brightest they have ever made, with graphics bright and big enough to eliminate any sun glare problems. Oh, and if running isn’t your thing, for those swimmers out there the watch is resistant for up to 50 meters.

Nike+ Run Club Fist Bump It Out

If that were not enough the Apple Watch Nike+ also includes exclusive Siri commands and integrates the new Nike+ Run Club app. The app can be accessed right from the watch face. It offers daily motivation through smart run reminders, challenges from friends and even alerts informing when the weather is right to get outside.  You also get analytics galore in the form of training data, including pace, distance and heart rate. Available at a glance or through shared run summaries. The app promotes friendly competition, even allowing users to send fist bumps to each other right from the wrist.

According to Jeff Williams, Apple’s chief operating officer the “Apple Watch is the ultimate device for a healthy life and we wanted to push it further to create the best smartwatch in the world for runners and athletes.”
