For the soccer/football loving ‘LLERO. Yesterday was historic. Liverpool did what virtually no one thought they could do. Took down the mighty Leonel Messi and his Barcelona squad to make it the finals in Madrid next month. Many say the spectators at Anfield are like a 12th man. This prove yet again to be the case. Barcelona were taken out with two goals from a makeshift striker – Georginio Wijnaldum – and another two from a player – Divock Origi. Liverpool goes on to Madrid to meet either Ajax or Tottenham on June 1. This will mark the first Champions League finals in over five years that neither Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo will be a part of.
