Another DC FanDome is in the books. The one-day virtual DC fan immersive did not disappoint.  It dropped some of the expected and billed releases, but also some surprises.  Heres a recap of some of the biggest reveals at DC FanDome 2021.

New Trailer for The Batman Drops

Let’s not bury the lead here. DC and Warner Bros. have been hyping new footage of The Batman for weeks.  True to their word, director Matt Reeves, as well as stars Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz were part of a virtual panel where they chatted about the audition process, behind the scenes moments, putting on the super suits and of course, introduced a new trailer! In the latest trailer we get our best looks yet at Batman, Catwoman, Penguin and Riddler.

The Rock Reveals First Look at Black Adam

The first treat of the day came in the form of a Black Adam teaser. The film’s star Dwayne Johnson appeared to introduce the clip.  Announcing that filming is complete, and the project is in post-production. Then he did not beat around the bush and dropped a first look at Black Adam.

The clip is brief, but it’s the first live look at the titular anti-hero.  If the goal was to increase buzz. Mission accomplished.

Black Adam drops in theaters in July of 2022. Until then check out the teaser here.

The Flash and Batman Team Up

Ezra Miller, star of the upcoming The Flash feature film appeared to provide a teaser of the upcoming film.  Fans got a brief taste of a Michael Keaton voice over, speaking to Barry Allen, or rather questioning his abilities and motives. We then get a great view of the 89’ Wayne Manor, the Batcave, two Barry Allen’s and a Supergirl! Equal parts in awe of and asking Batman if he will join them on their latest mission. The teaser concludes with a not-so-subtle silhouette of the infamous cowl Keaton donned in the first two Batman films.

The Flash arrives in theaters on November 4, 2022.

Aquaman Behind the Scenes Featurette

Jason Momoa also made an appearance to provide an update on the Aquaman sequel – Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. We got a look at filming in the UK, Momoa on set, director James Wan providing some story details about the sequel, as well as Yahya Abdul-Mateen about how Black Manta will factor into the sequel.

Shazam! Fury of the Gods

Another anticipated sequel – Shazam: Fury of the Gods also had a brief panel and revealed some new behind the scenes footage of the cast, set and the large scale of the sequel. Zach Levi, Lucy Lui and Helen Mirren all appeared to speak about the upcoming film.

Other treats dropped by DC was confirmation that Wonder Woman 3 is officially happening, a great impromptu celebration of the 20th Anniversary of Smallville, a brief chat with star of upcoming Batgirl film, Leslie Grace and great preview with the cast of the upcoming HBOMax series Peacemaker

Looks like great things lie ahead for the DC Universe.
