What a difference a year makes. In the fall of 2013 Melissa Fumero was a considered a soap actress who landed a role on an untested Andy Samberg project called Brooklyn Nine-Nine. One year later the show is a mega hit, winning a Golden Globe for Best Comedy and Fumero’s role as Detective Amy Santiago has made Google search-crush material out of the Cuban starlet. When ‘LLERO asked her about the show’s success and how life has changed since she said, “The press has been really generous with our show. They’ve praised the writing and the ensemble cast.
