Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson doesn’t do anything small. This year Johnson, who stars in Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, won the 2019 Generation Award at the MTV Movie & TV Awards. Johnson didn’t just accept the award, he made a statement. Before he gets on stage a troupe of male dancers performed a haka war dance and step routine. Each was a nod to who he is. “I am proudly half Samoan and half black,” he said. “I brought these cultures up here for the world to see.” He also took the opportunity to remind people, “It’s important to be your authentic self.
