UFC 255 went down at the UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas last night. In the main event, Brazilian powerhouse Deiveson Figueiredo made the first defense of the flyweight title he captured in July. His opponent was Alex Perez. Figueiredo wasted no time and made short work of Perez.
The Brazilian pulled off a guillotine in under two minutes, once in place Perez had no chance and submitted. The bigger question now. What’s next for Deiveson Figueiredo? His match against Perez was his first pay-per-view headliner. He’s got power, speed and a knack for showmanship. Above all, his Figueiredo’s got the ability to headline more. Here’s hoping Dana White and the UFC take notice and put him on the books accordingly.
