Boxing is back!  Top Rank Boxing staged its first card in Las Vegas since the gradual re-opening of the US.  Featherweight phenom Shakur Stevenson faced off against Felix Caraballo. Stevenson vs. Caraballo is the first boxing the city has hosted since Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder in February. The format is similar to that staged by the UFC in its recent cards. No audience, stringent protocols and abundance of testing.

As for the fight. Stevenson the WBO champion defended his title with ease. Dominating Caraballo over six rounds and stopping him with a potent body shot mid-way through the sixth round. Co-managed by Andre Ward, the future seems nothing but bright for Shakur Stevenson. Even garnering comparisons to Floyd Mayweather. Of the complimentary comparison Stevenson told ESPN “We’re two different fighters. We got two different styles. I got my own style. I’m still my own fighter. I’m the first Shakur Stevenson.” That he is!
