It wasn’t pretty but it was as expected. We are talking about last night’s heavyweight fight between undefeated up and comer Adam Kownacki and journeyman Chris Arreola. The two met at Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn and put on quite a show. In fact Compubox indicated it set a record for most punches thrown and landed in a heavyweight fight. This comes as no surprise. In the early rounds both came out slugging. While the pace slowed as the fight went on both still continued to consistently trade leather. Arreola broke his hand early in the fight. The injury made him a one handed fighter, however, Adam Kownacki seemed the more effective fighter, hurting Arreola on several occassions. Cruising to a unanimous decision. Check out the highlights here.
