Chef Eddie Garza is about to branch out to an entirely new audience!  Already a renowned plant-based chef, cookbook author, culinary coach, and thought leader on issues related to health and wellness. Garza is now making a foray into television with Global Bites with Eddie Garza.

Global Bites with Eddie Garza is a fresh new take on cooking shows. Chef Garza takes viewers on a global culinary journey often accompanied by vegan celebrities such as his friend, top model, and TV host Daisy Fuentes. Garza also has quite a substantial platform for his new show. Global Bites debuted on May 5, 2021, on Dr. Oz’s OzTube, a new on demand digital video platform.

“I’m absolutely thrilled to be able to bring my fun, fresh plant-based twist on global cuisines to Dr. Oz’s OzTube,” says Garza from his Los Angeles studio kitchen.

If you wonder, why Chef Garza? Well, as they say in Hollywood, he was born to play this part. Eddie grew up in the Mexican-American border town of Brownsville, Texas, a region plagued by childhood obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Like many of his childhood peers, Eddie struggled with serious weight problems from an early age, maxing out at 310 pounds by the time he was 21 years old. It was when he transitioned to a plant-centric diet that Eddie was able to naturally lose over 150 pounds and reverse his declining health.

But Chef Garza didn’t stop there, his life’s work has essentially been to reform food systems in marginalized communities. Serving as Program Manager of Food & Nutrition for The Humane Society of the United States

He also lectured and presented at top universities, culinary schools, and major conferences in the US and Latin America and also penned two books ¡Salud! Vegan Mexican Cookbook, and The 30 Day Vegan Meal Plan for Beginners. So, bringing his message and work clearly appears to be the next step in broadening his message.

Episodes of Global Bites With Eddie Garza will be available for streaming every Wednesday at www.OzTube.com
