Mayra Veronica has more lives than a cat. As a spokesmodel she’s hawked everything from car insurance to burgers; she’s been a hostess with the mostess for Don Francisco Presenta; a reporter for the television magazine show Miami Hoy; and a pin-up girl extraordinaire with seven of her own calendars. Mayra’s even been immortalized as a character in the video game, Def Jam 3. The Havana-born, Miami bred cubana is best known as in-demand cover girl who has graced the pages of a dozen men’s magazines. But Mayra isn’t just relying on her smile and feminine wiles for career success. In 2007, she released her first album, Vengo Con To’, which cracked the Billboard charts. Since then she’s since signed with Universal Motown to work on an English music album, Saint Nor Sinner, set to come out this year. The album’s first single, “If You Wanna Fly,” has already made it on to Billboard’s dance music charts. While completing her transformation from model to musician, she keeps herself busy as an ambassador for UNICEF and supporting America’s troops as a USO spokesperson—think of her as a modern day Betty Grable. Voted as the world’s sexiest woman by FHM magazine, Mayra’s site gets 3.7 million views a week. Now that’s fan loyalty…
