Pete Alonso of the New York Mets, was the ultimate winner of the 2019 MLB Home Run Derby. Yet, it was Vladimir Guerrero Jr. who stole the show. Guerrero Jr. set an MLB Home Run derby with a record 29 homers in the first round alone. Getting out of the second round required an extra round and 2 swing offs with Joc Pederson. When the night was over, Guerrero Jr. hit a total of 91 home runs in his three rounds, 30 more than any other player has ever hit in a single derby. At a mere 20 years old, he is on pace not to just match his famous father, but surpass him. Check out the action here.
