The show will go on for 2020 LAMC. The organization announced that it will hold its annual conference from June 9th to June 13th. However, this year’s conference will look a bit different. Panels, workshops, showcases and even networking will be held virtually.  It also free for all registrants.

Founded by Thomas Cookman, LAMC is one of the only events of its kind catering exclusively to Latin Alternative music. Of the new format Cookman stated “[a]s we face new challenges as an industry, we feel the need for the LAMC, and other conferences is essential right now. Providing a forum to discuss the issues we face and the potential solutions that lie ahead is key as we look towards the future. Although the days ahead may be slightly different for a time, we should always keep in mind there is very much a future as music is a human and global emotion. We are lending our hand by making the conference free for all and having a team of professionals join us in making sure the LAMC experience is as informative and technologically seamless as can be”.

In addition to our schedule of panels, workshops and showcases. The LAMC will be putting on a special initiative.  It’s first Wonder Women of Latin Music. The initiative is to be presented by Amazon Music. Its purpose is to  celebrate women making a difference in the industry.  The initiative will be integrated into this year’s conference with recognitions, as well as a special panel discussion.

“Latin music has more global influence than ever before, so it’s crucially important that we spotlight and recognize the women artists and executives who have driven this movement,” says Rocio Guerrero, Global Head of Latin Music for Amazon Music. “Amazon Music and LAMC have long been dedicated to supporting the women whose hard work has made Latin music a global phenomenon, which is why we’re thrilled to present the very first Wonder Women of Latin Music awards at this year’s conference.”

Having served as a launching pad for artists, such as Calle 13, Mon La Ferte Pitbull and many others, The Latin Alternative Music Conference (LAMC) returns June 9th to the 13th.
