Nike Has More Boots for When It’s Brick

It’s October, which means for most it’s starting to get chillier out and the terrain won’t be as easy to navigate. So what’s a guy to do when he wants to keep his sneaker game stylish, yet functional? Nike has got you covered with their latest Nike SneakerBoot collection, which takes some of the most legendary and classic Nike sneakers and re-boots them for cool-weather performance.

AIR FORCE 1 DUCKBOOT

The Air Force 1 – think of it as the required reading for any sneaker head. Except now it’s been given the sneakerboot treatment in the form of the Nike Air Force 1 Duckboot. The Duckboot has WaterShield technology and a padded wool collar for the outdoors. Aggressive lugs on the original Air Force 1 outsole – with classic pivot point design – give you extra traction. The molded vamp on the reinforced toe is made to take on the elements with ease, accompanied by a full-grain leather upper. Although reloaded for the outdoors, the Air Force 1 DNA is recognizable in every element of the Duckboot design. $114.99

AIR MAX 90 SNEAKERBOOT

Nike has decided to take one of its all-time classics – the Air Max 90 – and winterize it. It starts with an internal neoprene collar that holds and protects the ankle for warmth and support. It simplifies the exterior with fewer stitched panels providing a clean, modern look, but adds some reflective accents to increase visibility. It jacks up the outsole to provide traction on a variety of surfaces. These kicks are an easy pickup for your winter footwear rotation. $140.00

FREE RUN 2 SNEAKERBOOT

According to Nike, the Free Run 2 SneakerBoot combines the barefoot-like benefits of Nike Free technology with a winter boot height. There’s a full a sock-like inner sleeve that covers the ankle for maximum comfort. With a reflective underlay and color-blocking on the heel to boot (no pun intended), the Free Run turns out to be quite a unique and attention grabbing shoe. $130-$155.00.

LUNAR LDV SNEAKERBOOT

This bota updates a pioneering long distance runner from the 1970s with the now ubiquitous Nike Lunarlon cushioning and waffle traction system. These bad boys also have an ankle collar that gives this silhouette a nice fresh dynamic and a reflective mesh underlay displayed through the laser cut upper. Finally we must admit, when we got a look at these the unique cork-like color did make us reminisce about the special edition Lebron X, making it a must. $140.00

ROSHE RUN SNEAKERBOOT

Simplicity meets utility. The Nike Roshe Run SneakerBoot turns the iconic style into this season’s standard. The Roshe Run is a mid-cut sneaker with quilted nylon textile at the tongue and forefoot, as well as a ripstop ankle collar to keep you warm and your ankles supported. For those who must have some detailing, the heel is tricked out with tape and premium boot-inspired eyelets. Lest we forget functionality, the sole’s incredibly lightweight feel and natural motion patterning provide for performance-informed everyday wear. $80.00
