With much of the world quarantined as a result of the coronavirus, the world of entertainment has had to adjust. Television is no exception. Yet, Jimmy Fallon is still going on with the show. Albeit in a socially responsible manner. The Tonight Show host is filming from home, The Tonight Show – At Home Edition. It’s become a family affair, as Fallon’s family subbing in for his television production staff. Fallon’ six-year old daughter Winnie filled in for The Roots and served as the musician. His wife, Nancy serves as the camera crew and did the filming. While five-year old daughter, Frances crashes the monologue every now and again.
Each night this week Fallon is highlighting a different charity viewers can donate to and help those in need. Last night’s charity highlighted on Jimmy Fallon was Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. A not-for-profit that assists those in the entertainment community in meeting coronavirus-related expenses.
Following up on that Broadway theme, Jimmy’s guest, also checking in from home via video was Hamilton creator, Lin-Manuel Miranda. Miranda provided an update of his time in quarantine and performed “Dear Theodosia” from the play. Check out the interview and performance here.
