The headline event of UFC 252 Miocic vs Cormier 3 may have settled the question – who is the best UFC Heavyweight. Touted as the fight to cement their respective legacies, Stipe Miocic defeated Daniel Cormier via unanimous decision.
Cormier had good first round landing a couple of heavy shots near round’s end. Miocic would answer late in round two with some blows of his own, even dropping Cormier. Yet, round three proved to be pivotal as Miocic accidentally poked Cormier in the eye. Cormier would never be the same in the fight and Miocic kept the pressure on to get the decision.
