Just as it did for Black History Month, Nike has released a collection of customized kicks in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. The collection is entitled – Los Primeros – and encompasses Latino themed iterations of four of Nikes most iconic styles. The capsule started its roll out on September 15th, with a new sneaker dropping every week and the final shoe being released on October 13th. This wearable art is available at WSS Shoes, Clothing & Athletic Gear.
Each of the four shoes, the Air Max 1, Cortez, Air Force 1 Low, and Air Jordan 1, have not only their own Latino inspired theme that tie back to aspects of Latino heritage, but Nike also teamed up with young Latino street artists to design each shoe. So this is clearly a for us, by us collection. And the collection is catching on, as some of the Internet’s biggest influencers are donning the designer kicks.
