May 24th marks the Republic of Ecuador’s independence from Spain. Ecuador is home to some of the greatest natural wonders in the world. Among them are the Galapagos Islands, El Oriente’s Rainforest, Isla de la Plata and the Cotopaxi National Park. Ohh yeah, they aren’t too shabby in the ladies department either. Adriana Sanchez
How could a women whose nickname is “La Bomba” not make this list. Truthfully, Adriana Sanchez is probably best known for being the girlfriend and baby’s mamma to Argentine footballer Marcelo “El chelo” Delgado. Yet, Miss Sanchez has done quite a bit in her professional career. She started on local programs in Ecuador such as Web Veo, Sixteen and Trato Hecho, but her fame and nickname came later on the Channel 1 program, El Show de Hincha with John Paul Sico. Maria Elisa Camargo
This Ecuadorian actress from Guayaquil, got her start when she auditioned and was a contestant on The X Factor Colombia. Although, she didn’t win that competition, she parlayed the exposure into various telenovela roles. One of which was La Marca del Deseo, which is noteworthy as it was her first exposure on American television. Aside from television appearances she’s been making the rounds in various laddie magazines such as Revista H Mexico and Open. Once you get a look at the video you’ll know exactly why!

Gabriella Villalba
Born in Quito, Ecuador María Gabriela Villalba Jervis got her start by doing TV commercials at a very young age, but had her breakout success when she was chosen to participate in the Ecuadorian version of the reality show Popstars. She won and became a part of the best selling Ecuadorian girl band Kiruba. After the group disbanded Gabriela starred in a Colombian soap opera entitled ‘Al Ritmo De Tu Corazón’, where she also sang and composed the main theme for it. She later joined the Chilean pop group Kudai. Presently she’s preparing to make a solo comeback in with another solo album.
Estefani Espin
Contrary to popular opinion, this list is not all starlets and beauty queens. Estefani Espin is an Ecuadorian beauty with with a brain to match. Ms. Espin, began her journalism career as the youngest newscaster ever at CNN Spanish News. She studied journalism and Communications in Chicago and Nebraska before joining CNN Radio and then CNN Spanish News. While she is longer with CNN she can currently be seen along with Alfredo Pinoargote on Direct Contact in Ecuador.
Ericka Vélez
Born in Manta, Ecuador on the Ecuadorian coast and she began her career at the age of 18 on the Ecuavisa TV soap opera, No Limits. Erika Velez has participated in several productions outside the country as Besame Tonto, Peru, Doctor Love, in Argentina, the Mathematician Francisco in Colombia and more recently Velez hosted The Price of Fame in Ecuador.

Adrienne Bailon
Adrienne Eliza Bailon isn’t an Ecuadorian native, but has got the roots. The half Puerto Rican and Ecuadorian singer-songwriter, recording-artist, actress, dancer, and television personality first became publicly known when she rose to fame as a founding member and lead singer of both 3LW and The Cheetah Girls . She’s since moved on to more grown up fare and can currently be seen as a co-host on The Real.
