Jon “Bones” Jones made UFC history last night at UFC 247 with his unanimous decision over Dominick Reyes. The win gave Jones the most championship wins in UFC history. However, that result was in doubt throughout the night. Dominick Reyes gave Jones all he could handle. Pressing him with a fight game in rounds one through three. These rounds appeared to belong the Mexican American upstart. The fight seemed to turn in the championship rounds. Jones controlled the center of the Octagon in rounds four and five. Was it enough to win? According to the judges it was. With Jones stating he will stay in the light heavyweight division perhaps Jones vs. Reyes 2 is not too far off. In the meantime check out the highlights here.
