The last entry by 20th Century Fox in the X-Men franchise arrives this year. It also sports a different look. The New Mutants certainly has a darker, almost horror film feel. This production has longed been plagued by reshoots, bad word of mouth on the blogoshere and the usual trolling once fanboys get word of flop. Yet, if you remember X-Men First Class, was also trolled pretty hard after the release of set photo. Our point. Let’s see what the film actually looks like before condemning. The official synopsis is:
20th Century Fox in association with Marvel Entertainment presents “The New Mutants,” an original horror thriller set in an isolated hospital where a group of young mutants is being held for psychiatric monitoring. When strange occurrences begin to take place, both their new mutant abilities and their friendships will be tested as they battle to try and make it out alive.
The New Mutants also sports a pretty impressive ensemble cast of up and coming actors, including Maisie Williams (Game of Thrones), Anya-Taylor Joy (Split, Glass), Alice Braga (Queen of the South) and Charlie Heaton (Stranger Things) The New Mutants opens April 2020. Until then check out the trailer here.
