The first full trailer for DC’s upcoming film Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) dropped today. Margot Robbie returns to the role of Harley Quinn sans the rest of the Suicide Squad, along with a new crew of rag tags, in the form of Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya, as they take on Black Mask. The trailer definitely has a Suicide Squad look and feel, from the color palette and tone to use of backdrop music. Let’s hope it delivers more than the last outing. Warners also released an official summary:
Since the events of Suicide Squad, Batman has disappeared, leaving Gotham City unprotected from crime, and Harley Quinn has left the Joker. When Cassandra Cain, a young girl, comes across a diamond belonging to crime lord Black Mask, Harley joins forces with Black Canary, Huntress and Renee Montoya to help protect her.
