UFC Vegas 8 went down last night at the UFC version of the bubble UFC APEX in Las Vegas. In the main event of the evening, light heavyweights Aleksandar Rakic and Anthony Smith squared off.
In a lopsided affair Rakic emerged victorious. Rakic set the pace early and also dominated the ground game. Post fight, Smith admitted his opponent was simply too big and too powerful for him. With the departure of Jon Jones and Cory Anderson from the division the path to a title looks pretty clear for Rakic.
