Jordana Brewster

So what happens to soap stars who don’t become the Erika Kane’s of daytime TV? They typically flounder in obscurity. Not Brazilian-American actress Jordana Brewster.

The “As the World Turns” alum may have gotten her start there as a teenager in the mid 1990s, but she quickly catapulted to the silver screen thanks to being cast in director Robert Rodriguez’s horror flick, The Faculty. Regular appearances on television mini-series’ and other films followed but she truly became a star when she starred alongside Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in The Fast and the Furious, a movie that would make her career.

This past year she not only returned to the film franchise but also became a series regular on the reboot of “Dallas,” a soap-opera style drama as Elena Ramos, love interest of John Ross Jr. While she’ll reprise her role on both the show and another chapter of the Fast films, Brewster has several other films in production that will keep her in our sights for quite some time. Now who doesn’t like that?
