Piano
Don’t have green thumb? Perhaps your more musically inclined. You might also want to explore getting piano lessons. Playing any musical instrument is challenging at first, but then it becomes far easier over time as you really get into it. After a while, you start to enjoy it, especially when you master a piece that took you a long time to play to begin with.
Of course, you don’t just have to stick with one instrument. There are dozens out there, and just don’t think tranditionally, being a DJ is a hobby for a quite a few folks. It lets them enjoy music, gets them out of the house, helps them meet people and perhaps can become a lucrative side hustle. So choose the one that resonates with you the most.
Hiking And Foraging
Hiking and foraging is another hobby. A lot of people go hiking, which is great, but if you can find your own food along the way and actually cook and eat it once you get home, that’s even better, and can be a lot of fun.
As you get into this hobby more, you begin to see your surroundings in a different way. You no longer look at them in the same light, and begin to realize that they are a source of food.

If you write for a living, you can skip this idea. But if you don’t, it could be right up your street. Writing is one of the best ways to get your message out there and put it all down on paper.
With writing, it doesn’t matter so much if no one reads it (even the top authors struggle with this). What matters is that you’re developing your thoughts and skills, and having a go of it. Putting pen to paper can also be a form of therapy, helping all those pent up thoughts get out of your mind and onto the page.
Pottery
If you’re the sort of person who loves to work with their hands, then you might want to explore doing some pottery. This skill takes a few weeks to develop, but once you have it, you can actually go a long way.
Pottery is useful because you can use it to make new items in the future. All you need to do is sculpt it into the right shape, and you’re well on your way.
Martial Arts
Finally, you might want to get into martial arts in your spare time to give yourself something to focus on. However, you don’t have to limit yourself to just this combat sport, mixed martial arts and boxing can reap equal benefits. These disciplines connect body, mind and ego, and are actually quite therapeutic as well as useful for self-defense.
